Michelle, Hygienist
I’m married to my husband since 2009. No children, but we love our pet fish. I enjoy reading, traveling, music of many different genres and living life to its fullest. I love the arts and spend a decent amount of time attending concerts, Cirque De Soleil performances, and Theatre plays. Occasionally, I’ll run a triathlon or mini-marathon, but mostly I just enjoy movement more than any one sport in particular. Why do I love being a dental hygienist? Easy peasy question there! I love the people! I’m never bored because each and every one of my patients brings something new to the table. Maybe they just got engaged or had their first child, or maybe they’re excited about their first trip overseas. I love to get to know the people I care for, and help them feel more confident about their smiles. One of my flossophies (See what I did there? ; D) is to teach my patients about their own mouths, making sure that my patients are more knowledgeable about their own teeth and how to care for them than the average person. Why I love working with Dr. Johnston and Dr. Boehm? Another easy answer: They’re great people who care about their patients and practice ethically, giving each patient the individualized care they deserve! They treat everyone fairly and with compassion. My coworkers are wonderful people and like family. Many of us have been here for a nearly a decade or two, now. That says a lot about the character of Dr. Johnston and Dr. Boehm. We’re a happy dental team! And I look forward to many more years of taking care of Our patients.

Lauryn, Assistant
My name is Lauryn. I'm an Expanded Functions Dental assistant. I graduated from I.U. school of Dentistry in May 2007. And I love my job. I'm a natural caretaker. And I enjoy helping people. We all know the dental chair can be a scary place for some people. I like to help patients overcome their fears by listening to their concerns and making them feel as comfortable as possible through every procedure. Patient comfort and care is my top priority. Making sure patients understand what we are doing, and why it needs to be done can be very helpful in overcoming any anxiety they may have. It's refreshing to work with Dr. Johnston and Dr. Boehm because they both have such a high standard of care. They are both genuinely nice people that truly care about their patients. This shows in the high quality of their work. And time spent making sure each patient is cared for completely. I am truly blessed to work with such a great group of people. In my time off I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am happily married to my husband of 11 years. We have 1 daughter. Laughter, joking and sarcasm are common place in our home. We love anything outdoors. Biking, kayaking, pretty much anything involving adventure. I also love making new friends. This is one of the things I love most about my job. That I get to meet new people and learn their stories. Working here is a beautiful rewarding experience.

I have been in the dental field for over 20 years, working in both general practice and oral surgery. An important part of dentistry is educating patients about their treatment and calming their fears. I feel our office does a great job with this. I grew up in Michigan and moved to Indiana in 1991. I am married and have one daughter. We also have a cat, Tabby.
