SureSmile® is an orthodontic treatment that uses modern technology to gradually and effectively straighten your teeth through the use of transparent aligners. How does SureSmile® work?

Dr. Johnston will perform a digital scan of your mouth, sending the results to the SureSmile® Digital Lab. From there, a personalized treatment plan catered to your unique situation will be developed. Next, your first set of custom aligners will be manufactured and delivered to you in about 2 to 4 weeks. As you wear your clear aligners, they’ll work to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. You’ll have check-ins to monitor your progress and will “graduate” to different fits of aligners as you move through the process of your individualized plan.
Although straightening teeth may not be considered the most fun activity on the planet, SureSmile® Clear Aligners are carefully developed to make the journey towards stunning results as seamless and comfortable as possible. You can expect to wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks. Total treatment times will depend on the individual.
Dr. Johnston may also recommend that you use the at-home SureSmile® VPro™, which uses gentle vibrations to help your aligners fit properly. With just five minutes of use per day, the convenient tool can shorten treatment times and reduce any potential discomfort.
After you arrive at your straight smile destination, you’ll receive a SureSmile® Retainer to protect your investment and a SureSmile® Whitening Kit for the finishing touch of radiance.
